April brought her son Marcus to Summer Lake to escape their old life--to escape her ex husband, Guy. She's spent the last couple of months building a new life. It might not seem like she has much. She has a job at the bakery, they live in a little rented house, but as far as April's concerned she has everything she needs. She has Marcus and she has her freedom. And she has a little crush, too, on Eddie, the drummer with the band at the resort. She knows it's crazy, what would a guy like him see in a woman like her? When he asks if she'd like to spend some time with him, she knows it's only because all their friends are coupled up. It's not much fun being single at the lake, so if the two of them can help each other out, then why not? Eddie's tired of the life he's been living. He's done the partying and the groupies, and they were never really his thing anyway, they just went with the lifestyle. These days he'd rather hang out at his house on the water, he'd rather fish from the dock or just chill than party. He'd rather get to know April, but he knows a girl like her wouldn't be interested in a guy like him. Still, Eddie made a promise to her son that he'd teach him to play guitar. The little dude seems to have lived through enough disappointment in his life already. Eddie doesn't intend to let him down, and if that means he gets to hang out with April, too, then everybody wins, right? These two are both ready to take their lives in a new direction, but before they can they'll each have to break free of the past. The Summer Lake series follows a group of friends from a small lakeside town in the California hills. They have kept in touch over the years and now, in their early thirties, their lives are drawing them back to Summer Lake and to each other. This book is intended for adult readers 18+

Dream Like Nothing Impossible April and Eddie Summer Lake Volume 10 SJ McCoy Mitzi Pummer Carroll Dana Lamothe 9781946220189 Books

Another wonderful treat from SJ McCoy that you can sink your teeth into. When I see this author's name on the upcoming book, it a no brainer for me. I automatically hit that buy button, with no hesitation what-so-ever. Why? Because I always know that I can count on her to keep me thoroughly entertained for hours on end. She has hasn't disappointed me yet, and I expect she never will. I have to tell you, I was more than excited by this book, because we got to hear about some of the other characters from the 'REMMINGTON SERIES", which I also adored, emensly!!! And I thought she did a fantastic job of melding characters from both series, so seemlessly. The characters in both these series were very likeable, and very believable. And just like in the Summer's Lake series, there is a close community of family and friends who'll always have your back, no matter the situation.

I love how April and Eddie relationship develops at a realistic pace. He knows full well of what April and Marcus has been though, on a first hand basis, in fact. So he's taking his time and letting her get to know and trust him first, before he makes any moves on her. Sweet little Marcus stole my heart and soul completely. Even though he was so scared, he was always more concerned about his momma's well being first and foremost. I can't believe he continued to be such a sweet and caring little boy, after the horrible things his father put him through. And April wasn't just some weak sniveling woman, either. She stood strong and got them both out of there as soon as she could. It took a lot of courage and determination to finally walk away from the volatile life they were living in. I applaud anyone, man or woman, for having the courage to do that.

If you're reading this story but you haven't read the 'REMMINGTON SERIES' yet, you might've been a bit confused as to who these people are, or just how bad things were for April & Marcus before the Remmington brothers literally saved their lives by moving them to Summer's Lake.. Guy, (April's soon to be ex), was a real rat Bast**d, and then some. It wasn't bad enough that he constantly used them both as his personal whipping post, but he also verbally abused them both, as well. He was like the "BOSS HOG" of Montana. He didn't do the dirty deeds around town to the unexpected victims, though. No.... he paid people to do his dirty work, while he hide like a coward gathering his alibis'. Everyone there in town knows full well that he was behind all those crimes, but legally they couldn't seem to fnd a way to pin it on him. I am so glad he's finally getting his just rewards. People like him should rot in jail, forever!

SJ's perfect penmanship, great character development and humor, makes all of her books a real joy to read. They also are very heart-warming books. The kind that will keep with you for days after you finish reading, or if you're anything like me....even longer.

Dream Like Nothing Impossible April and Eddie Summer Lake Volume 10 SJ McCoy Mitzi Pummer Carroll Dana Lamothe 9781946220189 Books Reviews

Like always, all is well in Summer Lake!! Honestly I was worried that things may have been a little harder for April and Eddie. They both had very hard and rocky pasts. So glad they were able to over come their pasts and finally be happy with themselves and each other. Eddie is so sweet to Marcus, he will be a wonderful father to that little man. Thanks again for another wonderful read.
I started reading this series with the Summer Lake box set books 1-3)..... After I finished I kept readingthrough the series... Each story is its own standalone HEA, but then they ALL blend together and go SO well together. I've read through them all-(not just this series!), you will do the same!! I CANNOT wait for SJ's next book!!!
I have really enjoyed all 9 of the earlier SJ McCoy Summer Lake series, and I enjoyed this one, too--until the end. SJ McCoy built up the foundation for a great climax, then just had the characters talk--"this is what we're going to do about it"--and then went straight to "happily ever after." There should have been a showdown between Eddie and Guy, or April standing up to Guy--something! But instead, it felt like maybe the author was wrapping it up quickly to meet a deadline or something. I would welcome a rewrite for the end of this book.
Dream Like Nothing's Impossible by S.J. McCoy....Oh my goodness, she has done it again another fantastic book. S.J. McCoy has an amazing writing style that makes you invested in the story. As always her characters are very well written, likeable and relatable and Eddie and April are no different. This book hits all the emotion buttons and filled with suspense, romance, love, hot scenes and great friendships. I highly recommend this book or any book by this amazing author. I was given a complimentary book for an honest review.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review. SJ McCoy is a keeper on my go-to-list for reads... I'm always ready for the next release. This book about Eddie and April left me believing in love and forever, when you Dream Like Nothing's Impossible.

I can only imagine what it would be like for a single parent, especially a female having lived through verbal and physical abuse, with the only thing worse being your child getting the same treatment or worse. You can only despise ex-husband Guy who has caused havoc and messed with too many peoples lives; isn't it wonderful when you see karma at work!

I love McCoy's books, because I feel like I'm sitting right next to my friends sharing life's journey wherever they go. Get lost for a few hours with your friends from Summer Lake or the Remington's in Montana... Like true friends where you pick up where you left off, where no time as passed! Enjoy!
Dream Like Nothing's Impossible, however for April, all her dreams have been nightmares. After escaping her life of Hell in Montana and trying to rebuild a life in Summer Lake, April only has time to dream. After a marriage full of abuse and pain, all she wants to do is focus on creating a safe, loving environment for her son Marcus and to help other women over come their nightmares. That is until she meets Eddie, the drummer with the resorts house band.

This is book 10 in the Summer Lake Series, however if you follow the Remington Ranch Series, this is the continuation of April's escape from Guy, proving that life goes on. April is a strong woman, she just needs the courage to see it within herself and Eddie is that courage. He has a true heart of gold, making him her best friend. He gives her the confidence to discover who she really is and the backbone to stand up for what she really believes in.

I have always said SJ McCoy is an artist with words, this time she takes it a step further. She has created a healing story. So many men and women need to know they are not alone and need to feel April and Eddie's strength. They need to see themselves through her eyes and realize that their dreams can come true too.
